Handyman in Knightdale

Mostly newer housing, which means the calls here are installation and finishing rather than repair.

A new town, mostly

Knightdale was a small town until about twenty years ago and is now largely new subdivisions. That makes it one of the more predictable areas on our list, because almost everything is the same generation of construction.

New houses do not need repair. What they need is everything the builder did not include and everything the buyer did not have time for in the first year:

  • Blinds and curtain rods, because production builds almost never come with them
  • TV mounting with the power and HDMI run inside the wall rather than a cable down the paint
  • Shelving, garage storage and closet systems
  • Accent and feature walls in the rooms that were handed over as flat drywall
  • The snag list the builder signed off on but did not actually correct

The exception

The older core near downtown Knightdale is a different story, and those homes bring the usual older-home list: doors, fixtures, drywall and paint.

Getting a price

Photos plus room dimensions for anything wall-mounted. Because of the drive, Knightdale is worth booking as one visit with several items rather than piecemeal.

How to get a price

  1. 01

    Fill in the form

A sentence about the job and the address we would be coming to. Rough measurements help but are not essential — the address is the part we cannot work without.

  2. 02

    Get a number

Most jobs are priced from the form without anyone driving out. Bigger projects get a short visit first, and the estimate is free either way.

  3. 03

    Pick a time

The price is agreed before any work starts. We work 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, and take urgent jobs when we can.

Working in Knightdale — questions

My house is only a few years old. What would I even need a handyman for?

The list people actually call about in new construction: blinds and curtain rods, TV mounting with the cables hidden, shelving and storage, an accent wall in a room that was handed over blank, and the small snags the builder closed out without fixing.

It is forty minutes from Apex. Will you still come?

Yes. Send the full list rather than one item — at that distance a single fifteen-minute job is not good value for you, and several together is.
